Q: How can I record a cable
show while watching a digital channel?
A:
Your
VCR just has to be set to TV mode, which is analog. Program your VCR or start
recording when the show starts. Then, press the TV button to choose digital
input using the BYPASS button. Finally, press CABLE to change channels on the
digital decoder. This lets you watch a digital channel while recording an analog
show. P.S.: If you think you will be recording more often in digital, set your
VCR to digital; if you record in analog mode, use the instructions
above. |

Q:
Why do I have to be home for
the cable to be installed? Can't you just hook it up from
outside?
A:
A
technician has to come to your home to install the cable and to confirm the
services you have requested. The technician will also put outlets where you want
them. This is an important procedure for ensuring the quality of your reception.
The technician can also deliver the equipment you have ordered, and will ask you
(or the person you have authorized) to sign the service contract.

Q:
The technician came to my
home, but I missed him by 5 minutes. Can I call you to get him to come back the
same day?
A:
We
will make every effort to contact you before the technician comes to your home.
Our technicians are very busy and they have to cover a large area to complete
all the assignments they have been given at the start of each day. We'll do all
we can to have our technician return to your home the same day, but because of
the volume of work, we may have to reschedule your installation for another day.

Q:
Why can't you tell me the
exact time of day you will come to install my cable?
A: Each morning, our
technicians receive their new installation assignments. Installation times can
vary, so we will be re-assigning installations to our technicians throughout the
day to make sure your installation takes place on the day it has been scheduled.

Q:
How do I record a digital
program and watch a cable channel at the same time?
A: Start recording the digital
program when you start watching the cable channel. In this case, the digital
decoder has to be set for the channel you are watching. When the recording
starts, go from digital to analog mode. To do this, go to TV mode by pressing
the TV key, then the BYPASS key, which is just below the 7 key. Then, VIDEO 1,
VIDEO 2 or even VIDEO 3 is used to record the digital program. Simply chose the
TV mode. At this point, you will be in analog mode, and the remote control will
control just the TV. To go back to digital mode, press again the TV-BYPASS key
and choose the digital video entry (1, 2 or 3). Finally, don't forget to press
the CABLE key before changing channels so that your remote control will control
the decoder.

Q:
How can I tape and watch a
digital program at the same time?
A:
Start
recording when you start watching. In this case, the decoder has to be set at
the channel you are watching, and the VCR and TV must be set at channel 3 (4).
To begin recording, put the remote control in VCR mode (don't forget to go back
to cable mode later).
