Q: What are the features and benefits of the DVR?
A: The DVR (Digital Video Recorder) puts TV on your schedule - so you can watch what you want, when you want to watch it. With the touch of a button on your remote control, it automatically finds and digitally records your favourite shows so you can turn them on at any time. There's no need to remember to program your VCR, track schedule changes, or fuss with videotapes. And you won't miss a minute of your favorite show or the Big Game because you have the power to pause live TV and do your own instant replays. You can even fast-forward and rewind your recorded programs. |

Q: I currently record programs on my VCR. How is a DVR different?
A: The Advanced HD/DVR receiver takes recording technology to a new level, capturing picture and sound digitally (for a superior result to tape-based recording) and allowing greater viewing flexibility. Withthis receiver you can PAUSE a program while you're watching it, and restart it up to 2 hours later. And you can say goodbye to those annoying "what just happened?" moments when you're watching a movie — simply press REWIND to see what you missed. Yet you won't miss a moment of the action, because the Advanced HD/DVR receiver keeps recording forward while you pause, rewind or replay scenes. No VCR can do that! Also, no tapes to store and you don't have to find your program on the tape by fast forwarding or rewinding to the right spot. With DVR you can access all of your recorded programs with just the touch of a button. |
