Q: How can I record a cable show while watching a digital channel?

A: Your VCR just has to be set to TV mode, which is analog. Program your VCR or start recording when the show starts. Then, press the TV button to choose digital input using the BYPASS button. Finally, press CABLE to change channels on the digital decoder. This lets you watch a digital channel while recording an analog show. P.S.: If you think you will be recording more often in digital, set your VCR to digital; if you record in analog mode, use the instructions above.

Q: How can I record a show on a digital channel while watching a cable channel?

A: Simply program the VCR or start recording when the show starts. The digital decoder must be on the right channel. When recording starts, simply switch from digital to analog mode by going to TV mode using the TV button and then the BYPASS button below the number 7. From there, VIDEO 1, VIDEO 2 or even VIDEO 3 will be used for digital. Simply choose TV mode. You will then be in analog mode and the remote will control just the TV. To return to digital mode, simply press the TV-BYPASS button again and choose the digital video input (1, 2 or 3). Finally, don't forget to press CABLE before changing channels so your remote can control the decoder.
