Q:
Why won't my remote control respond when I press a key?

A: To determine the cause of the problem, carry out the following steps: 1) Make sure there are no objects blocking the signal between your remote control and your decoder. 2) Make sure the batteries are not dead. 3) Make sure your remote control is in cable TV mode by pressing the CABLE key, and trying to navigate with the guide. If that doesn't work, replace the batteries and try again. 4) Try to change channels with the CHANNEL UP and CHANNEL DOWN keys on your decoder. If the channel changes and you haven't gone through the previous steps, there may be a problem with your remote control. Contact COGECO's customer technical services.

Q:
How does my remote control work?

A: Your universal remote control lets you control the TV, the decoder, the VCR and an auxiliary unit (stereo). You must always make sure the remote control is in the right mode before you change the channel. The options are very well explained in the guide you received with your decoder when you subscribed. All you have to do is try out your remote control to learn how to use it. The EXIT key will always get out of the menu that you want to leave. Note that keys A, B and C are not used, for the moment, to operate the decoder or perform any other option. Note also that to do your programming, you must use the codes for your systems (TV, VCR, etc.). You can get these codes from your brochure or from the instruction guide that comes with your equipment.
