Configuration of Internet with the LANcity modem cable for Windows XP

 

Step 1

  • Click "Start", "Settings" then, "Control Panel".


Step 2

  • Select "Network and Internet Connections".


Step 3

  • Select "Create a new connection".


Step 4

  • Click on "Next" button.


Step 5

  • Select "Connect to the Internet" then click on "Next" button.


Step 6

  • Select "Set up my connection manually" then click on "Next" button.


Step 7

  • Select "Connect using a broadhand connection that is always on".

  • Click on "Next" button.


Step 8

  • Click on "Finish" button.


Step 9

  • Select your Local Area Connection then click "Change settings of this connection"


Step 10

  • Select "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" then click on "Properties".


Step 11

  • Select "Use the following IP address".

  • Enter your IP address.

  • Enter the Subnet mask 255.255.255.0

  • Enter your Default Gateway.

  • Enter the Preferred DNS server 205.151.69.200

  • Enter the Alternate DNS server 205.151.68.200

  • Click on "OK" button.

 

Step 12

  • Select "Authentication" select the same settings as below.



Step 13

  • Select "Advanced" select the same settings as below.

  • Click on "Ok" button.

The configuration is now finish.
