Setup Windows 2000 with a Dial-Up access.

Step 1

  • Click on the right button of your mouse and select "My Network Places"

  • Click on "Properties" with the left button.


Step 2

  • In the window "Network and Dial-up Connections", double-click on "Make New Connection".


Step 3

  • In the window "Network Connection Wizard", click on "Next" button.


Step 4

  • In the window "Network Connection Wizard", select "Dial-up to private network" and click on "Next" button.


Step 5

  • In the window "Network Connection Wizard", enter the phone number of the server of COGECO.

  • Do not select "Use dialing rules".

  • Click on "Next" button.


Step 6

  • In the window "Network Connection Wizard", select "For all users" and click on "Next" button.


Step 7

  • In the window "Network Connection Wizard", enter the name of your connection and select "Add a shortcut to my desktop". Click on "Finish" button.


Step 8

  • In the window "Network Connection Wizard", enter your username in the field "user name" then enter your password in the field "Password".

  • Select "Save password" and click on "Dial" button.


Step 9

  • When your computer try to connect to Internet, you will see this window.


Step 10

  • Finally, for futur connexion, double-click on the icon on your desktop.
