Procedure - Activation of the COM21 cable modem

Doxport 1110

1. Pluging the cable modem câble with the coax cable.

  • Look at the connector behind the cable modem.

  • Plus the coax wire in the "RF" connector.

 

2. Pluging the computer with the cable modem.

  • Plug the RJ-45 wire of your computer to the "10BASE-T" connector behind the cable modem.

  • Check that the other end of wire RJ45 is well connected with your network adapter of your computer.

3. Pluging the power of the cable modem.

  • Plug the power cord in "DC IN 12V 1A" behind the cable modem.

  • Connect the other end of the power cord in a electric outlet.

 

4. Auto initialisation of the cable modem.

When the modem start to initialise, light will appear like this :

1. Light <<CABLE>> will flashing slowly until <<foward>> signal are found.

2. Light <<CABLE>> Will flashing quickly until <<reverse>> signal are found.

3. Light <<CABLE>> will remain without flashing and the modem will take is configuration on the server of COGECO.

4. Light <<LAN>> is ON when pc is ON and the modem is pluging with the pc with the RJ-45 wire.

When <<POWER, CABLE and PC>> light is ON, the modem is synchronised.

Note: If <<CABLE>> light don't go ON, contact the technical support of COGECO at 1-800-665-3131 ou at (819) 693-3131 from Trois-Rivières.
