- Plus the coax wire in the "cable" connector.
2. Pluging the computer with the cable modem.
- Plug the RJ-45 wire of your computer to the "10BASE-T" connector behind the cable modem.

- Check that the other end of wire RJ45 is well connected with your network adapter of your computer.
3. Pluging the power of the cable modem.
- Plug the power cord in the power connector of the modem.

- Connect the other end of the power cord in a electric outlet.
4. Auto initialisation of the cable modem.
You have five light on the modem.
Every light can be switched from on to off or still to flash to indicate an activity.
Alimentation
- Indicate the power of the cable modem.
- This light will be on when power cord is plug..
Connection to the computer
- Indicate that the Ethernet ou USB cable is connect between the modem and the computer.
- This light flashing when there have activity on the line. If the connection is bad, the light go off.
Connection to cable
- Indicate that there have connection between COGECO and the modem.
- This light flashing when there have activity on the line. If the connection is bad, the light go off.
PipeLock
- Indicate if the PipeLock function is active or no.
Programmable
- This light is reserved to COGECO.
PipeLock
- The PipeLock function allows interruption of communication between the network and the computer by simple pressure on a button. This allows to make a security in case of not use of the cable modem. When the PipeLock function IS ACTIVATED, the cable modem remains in function but the direct communication between computer and COGECO is blocked. The PipeLock function don't interrupt the communication between the cable modem and the network of COGECO, a second pressure on the button restores it instantaneously.
- TO ENABLED the PipeLock function, push on the PipeLock button located in the higher part of the cable modem. Press again on this button TO DISABLED the PipeLock function and to restore access with Internet instantaneously. The PipeLock light indicates constantly if the PipeLock function IS ENABLED (light on) or IS DISABLED (light off).
- The PipeLock function is preserved in a event of shutdown of the cable modem. In other word, if the PipeLock function IS ENABLED before an interruption of the modem, it will be ENABLED when modem will be synchronised.
5. Operational
- When the cable modem is ON and begin to synchronise, it must pass by several different operational actions. Each one of these actions and lights corresponding are described below.
Alimentation
- During the alimentation diagnosis, the cable modem proceeds to check integrity of the hardware and software. This action is activated with the first powering of the cable modem, after a cycle of setting not under tension then under tension or a reboot by user.
Initialisation
- During the initialisation, the cable modem try to find an upstream channel and her configuration on the server of COGECO. The system enters this action once the action "Alimentation" finished successfully, with the reception of an update of the software or in the event of loss of the channel downstream.
- During this action, light "connection to cable" flashing slowly. The light "Connection to computer" is ON and flashing is there is activity.
Operational
- The operational action starts when the cable modem finishes is initialisation and is ready to send and receive data. It is a normal operation of the cable modem.
- During this action, light "connection to cable" flashing slowly. The light "Connection to computer" is ON and flashing is there is activity.
