Internet Dial-up Control: Prevents your modem from being used by Internet dialer programs or virus-like programs designed to use your modem to dial unauthorized phone numbers such as 976, 1-900 or expensive overseas numbers, without your permission.

Deep guard: Deepguard prevents previously unknown malware from accessing or harming your system by observing the heart of your computer and preventing the malicious code from executing. It is the Host-based Intrusion Prevention System, which combines heuristics, sandboxing and behavior blocking.

Rootkit detection (Blacklite engine): Spyware detection and removal capabilities have been significantly raised when using Two-Engine-Solution for the spyware scanning. Anti-Spyware integration has been enhanced to include Target Scanning, in addition to Real-Time Scanning and Manual Scanning. With this new version you can also find Spyware which is hidden by the rootkit.

Please note Rootkit detection was not available in previous version which is our current version. The Rootkit detection is a completely new feature.

Anti-phishing: A large number of e-mails are designed to gather your private information without your knowledge or permission. Phishing emails are separately categorized and with integrations for Outlook and Outlook Express, are automatically moved to appropriate mail folders for processing.

Vista supported: Microsoft’s new Operating System Vista 32-bit for Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, Ultimate and Enterprise is now supported.

Combined Quarantine: Quarantine feature has been expanded to also include viruses and other identified malware. The overall look-and-feel of quarantine has been adjusted to provide clearer instructions on its use and purpose.

Note that Windows XP Professional x64 is not supported at this time.

Server versions the above listed operating systems are not supported.

- CPU: Intel Pentium III 600 Mhz or higher
- Available disk space and memory shown in the table below:

Installing Cogeco Security Services software on a PC which does NOT meet the minimum requirements will take longer to cause system instability on your computer such as reduced overall performance, possible non response of the system and loss of data. Also, if your computer freezes during the installation of the software, you might loose security protection during the period necessary to de-install and uninstall.
