Cogeco's Hotspots are conveniently located throughout our service area. These Hotspots are open to our Cogeco High Speed Internet customers and are free to use.
Users who do not subscribe to Cogeco High Speed Internet can access Cogeco Hotspots on a pay-per-use basis.
And when you're on the go, you want to be able to easily access the Internet and your email account. Now you can with Cogeco's wireless network. It offers a variety of Wi-Fi hotspots to High Speed Internet customers on Trois-Rivières territory. So you can still be online when you're out and about!
You will find below a list of Cogeco Hotspots, as well as some recommendations concerning your computer's security settings. To ensure proper configuration, you must refer to the manual provided with your Wi-Fi device. |

• Why is it important to check your security settings?
It is essential to avoid all intrusion and to protect your privacy. Intrusion is the term used when an unauthorized third party gains access to your PC. In order to block these intrusion, make sure your firewall is activated. For more information please visit: http://www.cogeco.ca/en/faq_protecting_yourself_q.html.
As well, you may want to limit the file sharing option for the same reason. |
• How to do it?
The firewall is designed to prevent unauthorized access to/from a private network and needs to be configured so that it knows which applications can access the Internet. A firewall can either be a software application or a hardware device that sits between the Internet and the network to be protected so that it knows which applications can access the Internet.
